Clinical Director
Kendahl Florio, LCSW (they/them) is the clinical director at Avery’s House Apache Junction, where they coordinate residential-level treatment of adolescents, including providing clinical reflective supervision for therapists and oversight of staff using trauma-informed care (TIC) to help clients heal and find their aliveness.
Kendahl has engaged in transformative mentoring with young people for five years and has been in clinical practice for almost nine, utilizing a systems approach to treatment. They employ whole-person psychotherapeutic methods, such as mindful self-compassion, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and the neuroaffective relational model (NARM), which can help mitigate developmental and complex trauma.
Kendahl is an artist, gamer, hiker, musician, and mindfulness geek originally from Northern California and now living in sunny Phoenix.
