Specialized treatment for PTSD in teens
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is prolonged stress stemming from a traumatic event. Not all teens experiencing trauma develop PTSD. However, for those who do, the consequences can be far-reaching and persistent, casting a dark shadow over their lives. At Avery’s House, we combine years of specialized expertise in adolescent mental health care with deep empathy. This approach creates a nurturing environment where your teen can heal from the long-lasting impacts of traumatic experiences.
Flexible treatment options
Our experienced team of clinicians will conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your child’s needs. Based on this evaluation, we’ll determine the most beneficial approach. Whether your teen starts our residential treatment program with 24/7 supervision or a less intensive option, such as our day treatment program, you can rest assured they will receive the high-quality care and support they deserve.
Residential Program
- A comprehensive program with round-the-clock support and supervision in a safe, welcoming, and home-like setting
Day Treatment
- Less intensive than residential treatment, our partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides more guidance and support than outpatient services
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
- 3-4 treatment sessions per week for those who require more intensive treatment than outpatient therapy but prefer to stay at home

(480) 360-4989Can PTSD go away on its own?
While PTSD affects different people in different ways, it often manifests as subtle, easily missed signs. All too often, loved ones think these signs are no big deal, brushing them off as run-of-the-mill emotional issues. In such cases, PTSD may go ignored and untreated.
What may seem like typical adolescent behavior, however, could be signs of deeper problems. Because parents and guardians are usually the first to notice changes in their teen’s behavior, they play a crucial role in early detection and intervention.
At Avery’s House, we encourage parents to trust their instincts and seek help if they notice significant changes in their teen’s behavior. Getting the right help at the right time can help create a brighter future for your child.
